David Chen, CEO of AgriG8 and a postgraduate alumnus of SMU, is a seasoned entrepreneur with 18 years of experience transforming the rice industry. As a farmer and visionary leader, he drives innovation in agriculture and sustainability. AgriG8 bridges the gap between financial institutions and smallholder rice farmers through its CropPal platform, which provides real-time farm data to help lenders assess risk and expand loan portfolios, incentivising sustainable farming practices

Mr Daniel Chia
Chairperson, NUSS Membership Sub-Committee
Daniel Chia is a veteran HR leader, currently heading the HR department at DKSH Singapore and managing M&A projects in Singapore and the Philippines He previously served as Head of HR at Samsung Asia and Carlsberg Singapore. This year, Daniel is the Chairperson for Membership and Co-Chair for Intellectual Pursuit and Community Care. He also holds roles as a member of the NUS Alumni Student Advancement Committee and Honorary Treasurer of the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI).
