Food Collection Drive

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Do you know that about 40% of Singaporean households experience food insecurity at least once a month?

Join us in helping our community as we kickstart a month-long food collection drive this April! Take some time out of your daily schedule to pack a little food box for families in need. Your donation of non-perishable food items will go a long way in helping beneficiaries under Food Bank Singapore (FBSG), including family service centres, children from low income families and other voluntary welfare organizations. 

Alternatively, you may also make a monetary donation via Giving SG instead of buying food for the drive! FBSG is able to buy food at a discounted rate compared to the price offered at supermarkets. 

Items we’re in need of*: 

• Halal biscuits / snacks
• Hot beverages 
• Instant noodles
• Canned food
• Dried / Preserved food

* Unopened and unused, with at least 5 weeks of shelf life

Do not put: 

X Rusty / Unlabeled cans

X Expired items

X Opened / Used items

X Eggs

X Fresh vegetables

X Items that need to be refrigerated 

Please pack your food items properly into boxes / paper bags and drop off the items at our food drive collection box at Chill@5 (Level 5 of the Executive Centre). 

ABOUT FOOD BANK SINGAPORE

Established in 2012, the Food Bank Singapore (FBSG) is Singapore’s first food bank, and it aims to be the prevailing centralised coordinating organisation for all food donations in Singapore. Driven by its mission to eradicate food insecurity of all forms in Singapore by 2025, the registered charity bridges potential donors and member beneficiaries by collecting and redistributing donated food. Its members are registered charity or non-profit organisations with a designated meal programme for low-income and underprivileged individuals and families. FBSG is also a registered member of The Global Foodbanking Network.
