Textile Recycling Drive
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Our annual textile recycling drive is back!
While doing spring cleaning this Chinese New Year, declutter your wardrobe and donate the clean textiles to keep them in closed recycling loop. The collected recyclables are sold to second-hand textile importers in various developing countries and your contribution will help to:
· Conserve natural resources
· Reduce environmental pollution
· Facilitate economical pricing for clothes in developing countries
Please pack your clean textiles into plastic/paper bags and seal it to prevent contamination. Drop off the items at our textile collection box located at our new clubhouse (Level 5 of the Executive Centre). A small token of appreciation will be provided for participants.
Items we collect: Clean clothes, towels, bedsheets, curtains, cushion covers, functional bags, shoes, belts, luggage
Items we do not accept: Rubbish, wet/mouldy/torn/stained items, books, toys, stationery, undergarments, used socks, kitchenware, pillows, bolsters, cushions, fragile items
Held in partnership with Greensquare as part of NTU’s Service Week
