Frequently Asked Question

1 . What is the difference between the NTU Alumni Club and NTU Alumni House?

NTU Alumni Club is a membership-based club set up in 1986 as an independent entity registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies. The Club serves as a platform to bring together all alumni who are interested to build a vibrant alumni community for social, business networking and professional development opportunities and for maintaining links with the alma mater. Members can also benefit from usage of club facilities at one-north, with affiliate clubs and enjoy discounts at a wide range of merchant partner outlets.

The three Alumni Houses at Marina Square, NTU North Spine Plaza and one-north are set up and managed by NTU. They provide social spaces and facilities for alumni to meet fellow alumni, catch up with friends, former professors and lecturers and host business associates. All NTU alumni can use the facilities on Pay Per Usage (PPU) charges for each facility.

2 . What benefits does a Club member enjoy, as compared to an NTU Alumnus?

At the Alumni House @ one-north, Club members and their families continue to be entitled to free unlimited access to the gym, sauna, steam room, swimming pool, reading rooms 1 and 2. Tennis court booking is available at preferential booking rates for members. Members will also enjoy 3-hours complimentary parking on first entry per day (members have to pre-register their car’s IU number with us to enjoy this perk). On the other hand, an NTU Alumnus who uses these facilities will be charged a Pay Per Usage (PPU) fee for each facility and pay the applicable prevailing car park charges.

3 .

What are some of the new changes to the Clubhouse?

Unlike previously, all club facilities are now concentrated on levels 3 and 4 making for a cosier club-like ambience and ease of movement from one facility to another. Most of the facilities have been revamped, such as the swimming pool with enhanced water and safety features, a new Sports Bar, a Western bistro, refurbished Reading Rooms and a refreshed lobby area. Members and visitors can now locate the main reception easily as it is now centrally located at the level 3 lobby. In line with social and demographic changes in our society, facilities have been improved to provide better access for diverse groups such as the elderly, wheelchair users and families with young children. For ease of access, a ground floor escalator (expected to complete by end-September) leads directly to Level 3 lobby entrance to the club areas.
